This was clicked during the Memorial Day long weekend at Saguaro National Park Museum.
We were greeted with a beautiful, partial cloudy day. The temperature was warm but not hot. And there was a light breeze. It was romantic with birds, chirping, silver lined clouds in the sky with the sun shining through.
What surprised me the most was the abundance of flora and fauna in the desert.
Here is one glimpse of it.

World's Most Crooked Street!

I love the Lombard Street drive. Its a long line to reach the actual crooked stretch and the climb is stiff steep. I have been here countless times and have seen the place at all hours of the day and in every season's bloom. The tiny stretch is always filled with tourists and so not a photographer's delight really.

This shot was taken last year in Fall, in San Francisco. One of the last pictures of the day shot from the Coit Tower looking at Lombard Street with a dream like Sunset in the back ground.
Divine.

SunSet Surprises.

This was taken last year at Point Lobos National Park, CA. I tried to search for the native animals of this region and a similar animal I found was a Desert Jackal to the california deserts and shores. So probably this fellow was looking for dinner when he met with our car. We stopped on our path to gaze at this God's creation standing against the Setting sun. It was specatular Golden everywhere and this guy was ready to pose. It must be around 5:30pm and I have not used any special effects in this picture.

This is one of a series of photos that I was able to click on a very lucky day. These miracles of nature are the reason I love spending my weekends on reserves and national/state parks. And I am lucky to have enough of oppertunities.

I mixed two languages for the title. This is a wasp I think, but I have used Bee for my convenience and Phool means flower in hindi. I verbed the hindi noun. Pardon!

Victoria Memorial

I did not have the time (read, no one had the interest to take me) to visit Victoria Memorial although it was on my to-do list. But I got some wonderful opportunities to take some shots.

All the pictures have been taken from a moving bus which means it was quite a bumpy experience!

These pictures are taken mostly during evening hours, against cloudy Sky.
I use a Sony Cybershot with an optical zoom of 15x.

A blog that made me very happy

After a 10 days of high stress, and daily 10 hours of research work. I am finally able to relax. And my way of relaxing is getting inspired and being creative. I opened my blog lists to check out what the other creative ones were doing and its was just so exiting.
Thanks to Rang Decor, who was included as one of the best design bloggers. I was introduced to many more to creative people from far of places. Such life, exuberance and inspiration. Totally fell in love instead of working on my won blog I spent much of my spare time read other blogs and soaked in all the beauty.
One of my favorite no doubt is My Marrakesh. I think I love her blog because of it being so much familiar to me. Much of it has such vibrant and energetic colours that Indians are known for. Well, I have noticed before that Moroccan art and architecture is much similar to Indian styles. I think the weather as well as our ancient trade histories have much to contribute for that.

This blog of mine was created to electronically record my own creations and share it with other who may be interested or some wonderful souls who would like to correct me and help be get better. But now, I plan to record my inspirations along with my creations. Its been some time since I made something with my own hands. That's because I am busy with my research and reading a lot of new books.
But I will be back soon with something nice soon.

Probably , I would hate the bee if it had bit me.

He does not knowth about the difference between,
Being shot with a camera and a fly net.
Does a beautiful being loose its beauty if it brings pain?
Do all things that give us happiness become beautiful?

This is such a classic picture. I have cut the rest in fear of Internet theft. But I can explain the shot that I was able to capture.
The bee was sitting on the flower while I tried to take a shot. But as I clicked it flew and was just about to hum its way back and I got that very shot.
I love it.
And I feel very Lucky.

You can see the surfers waiting for the next wave. The father of the two brothers, is also one of the surfers. Here they are sitting and watching the dogs riding on the waves on the other side.

In the Year 2006 I made a sleevless sweater for my friend's one year old son. Last year I made him a very cute yellow penguin sweater.

I made the same sweater's tiny version for a newborn who has outgrown out of it now. I feel sad that I did not make it a few sizes bigger. I made a few booties for the kiddo too. Like the ones in the picture below.

Till now I have knitted 5 scraves. Of which I have gifted 3 to friends.
Right now I am trying to learn crochet. And will try to click some photographs to document my progress. Well, I am not very particular and have the habit of trial and error. So I take any kind of wool thats available to me or is lying spare in the house and use them to pick new designs from the knit and crochet books. But as I sit and learn crochet I want to learn jwelery designing and with each passing day the interest in getting intense. Soon someday I will post some of my creations.

A Scrapbook your Life Journey!

I remember during school how we gifted handmade cards to our friends and classmates because we were not able to cards too often. That was the time that I learnt spray painting, coin tracing, cutting beautiful edges on the cards and also patch worked cards using different materials- tassels, skeins of threads, cotton, feathers, macrame and also the leftover casement, linen.

So when I saw this book on scrap booking I could not resist picking it up. Its a beautiful book that explains the process of scrap booking. How to make the most impact with your scrapbook material and decorate it for the events in your life that mean so much. I understand that it is a great therapy method and helps to relax. But the best reason to scarp is that it helps a person to keep their best moments forever in their present.

Even if you do not like scrap booking this book is a wonderful recreational read.
